EC-CHAP “Talent Showcase”
Talent Sharing Talent…
EC-CHAP's "Talent Showcase" represents a supportive platform for local and regional community members of all ages to share their talent(s). Period.
What is “TALENT”? The Cambridge Dictionary defines TALENT as "a special natural ability to do something well".
Though our Talent Showcase has often been referred to as an "Open Mic", it represents much more. Unlike an "Open Mic", EC-CHAP's Talent Showcase: 1) supports the sharing of any talent; 2) offers extended time to each presenter; and 3) provides a quiet, attentive and respectful environment without distraction.
Acoustic musicians, film makers, poets, comedians, storytellers, jugglers, puppeteers, visual artists, historians - everyone of any age with "a special natural ability to do something well" is invited to share at The Packing House. Join us for an opportunity to showcase your work and interests in an intimate historic setting before a live audience. Test ideas and concepts and solicit feedback. PA / sound reinforcement, video projection, and up to 3 microphones provided (Please - No full drum kits or amps unless prior arrangements have been made).
Unless otherwise noted, Talent Showcases are offered on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at The Packing House at The Mill Works in Willington, CT.
If you're interested in performing, please call 518-791-9474 in advance to sign-up (recommended), or sign-in at the door (time available). Not performing? No problem! Come join us for an evening of great talent. Invite everybody you know! Admission - Free to all.
We extend a big THANK YOU to all EC-CHAP Members and Volunteers for their support in allowing us to offer this program. A “Special Thanks” goes out to Margaret Colvin, EC-CHAP Member and Volunteer Announcer for the Talent Showcase.
We are pleased to include images and soundbites (where available) of those who have shared their various talents with us.
